Aims
This comprehensive three day course covers a wide range of first aid emergencies, enabling all delegates to deal with emergency situations with confidence and in a safe and effective way
Duration – 3 days
The Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 state that employers are required to provide adequate personnel, training, equipment and facilities to render First Aid to their employees should they become injured or taken ill at work.
Worksafe deliver First Aid Training courses in association with NUCO Training. NUCO is the largest provider of First Aid Training courses in the United Kingdom. The 3 day First Aid at Work course is approved by the HSE.
Course Objectives
At the end of the course delegates will have covered a wide range of subjects including:
- Legalities, responsibilities, first aid provision and reporting
- Assessment of the situation
- Dealing with an unconscious casualty
- Resuscitation
- Heart attacks
- Burns
- Wounds and bleeding
- Foreign objects
- Fractures
- Shock
- Poisoning
Assessment and Certification
On successful completion of the course delegates will be issued with a First Aid certificate approved by the Health and Safety Executive.
This qualification is valid for 3 years and can be renewed by attending a First Aid Refresher Course
