This Train the Trainer course is available nationwide, all courses can be delivered on the client’s site or trainers can register to join one of our scheduled open courses usually held at Worksafe Head Office, Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk.

This four day IOSH Moving and Handling of People & Equipment Certified Award is designed to inform and train key personnel to become competent and effective manual handling trainers within their organisation. The course creates a clear understanding of the need to risk assess, use equipment and offers a range of moving and handling techniques for delegates to solve day to day and complex handling tasks.
All courses can be delivered on the client’s site or trainers can register to join one of our scheduled open courses.
On successful completion, delegates will be able to problem-solve various handling tasks and provide realistic solutions. Delegates will also be able to demonstrate to smaller groups the correct moving and handling principles, as well as demonstrate how to use generic equipment.

+ Course content is done in modular format, and includes: Understanding the moving and handling risk assessment process. Principles of handling, equipment use, legislation, guidelines, techniques and training ideas Techniques for moving and handling people and loads and teaching these techniques Problem solving moving and handling tasks using the TILE risk assessment and a variety of moving and handling equipment to find realistic solutions The course is to inform and train clinical staff who work in hospitals, the community, nursing and care homes and paramedics/EFR’s working for the emergency services. If you do not have a clinical background please contact us to discuss if this course will be suitable for you to attend.
CERTIFICATION
+ Support, assessment and feedback is given at regular intervals during the course. Delegates will need to be able to perform all moving and handling tasks safely for the practical assessment scenarios. On successful completion of the course you will receive an IOSH Accredited & Certificated Award.
